This is great. I was just wondering today what does “pure in heart” mean? I’ve been thinking about purity and joy a lot lately. Those are two themes, so I was joyed to find that purity was discussed here. Purity is not a very common theme, but I think it’s really important for the church in America. I know some Christian men who are cognitively impaired who I sense have a real purity of heart. I can’t quite put my finger on it. Something about innocence and honesty and selfless giving seem to be in the mix.
that’s really amazing – that purity isn’t a common theme in the church today – but unfortunately i think you’re right. i have to admit it wasn’t something i really specifically gave myself to studying or meditating on or praying for until was 30. which is pretty crazy. cuz if there’s ever a time someone needs to be begging Father for wisdom to walk in purity – it’s yours teens & 20s, right?
