kings and queens from all over the earth streamed to see Solomon’s temple (the former house); and the glory of it was so great, they could barely stand up after seeing it. and everyone knew the Messiah was supposed to come fill the temple (the latter house) with a greater glory.

no wonder Jesus was so easy to miss! he had no form or comeliness; and when they saw him, there was no beauty that they should desire Him. yet Father had clearly said: “heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool. where is the house that you will build me? and where is the place of my rest? for all those things my hand has made, and all those things exist. but on this one will I look: on him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word.”

today the same Jesus who said “zeal for you house has consumed me!” sits enthroned on the right hand of the Father, as the one who baptizes in the Holy Ghost and fire. the stone which the builders rejected sas become the chief Cornerstone. this is God’s doing – let it be totally marvelous in our eyes. may all our zeal be for God’s house, for this place where Jesus still deeply desires to manifest himself in human flesh, where the glory of the New Covenant is to be on full display.

right now receive what Jesus is freely pouring out, and be filled to overflowing. let the work of God and the glory of appear to you, and may his beauty rest on you. arise and shine, for your Light has come >>
