john 17.14-17 I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
john 20.21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
1 john 2.6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
1 john 4.17 Because as He is, so are we in this world.

sooo amazing to know that Jesus sees us functioning in this world just the same as he did. what a time to totally re-focus everything around that vision; and look to Him for the supply of the Spirit that will make that vision a reality >>

I agree. That has two sides to it. The great questions about us are not how good we can be, but what we accept as “normal” behaviors.

The Holy Spirit will not finish with us in this life….

The amazing thing is that the Holy Spirit was not finished with Jesus in this life either. We’re told Jesus was perfected/completed by what he suffered. Every day Jesus woke up renewed in his inner man. Right up to the moment Jesus yelled out “It is finished!” and committed his spirit to Father’s hands, he gave himself over totally to the control of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit constantly and dynamically revealed Father’s thoughts & words & actions to Jesus, and then Jesus walked and spoke them out…to the extent that he never took credit or blame for the things he said & did.

Is it fair to say his life now defines “normal behaviors” for you & me?
