matthew 26.28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
john 20.21-23 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”
acts 3.19 Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

the new covenant in Jesus blood is for the remission of sins. remission is totally canceling, wiping out, forgiving with absolutely no remembrance, eradicating, stripping of all power. if Jesus Christ has come and called you to follow him, know that he wants to empower you to cancel sin. remission isn’t looking the other way or sweeping sin under the rug – it is obliterating its grip once and for all.

there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus! those who are not in Christ already feel the condemnation that hangs over them. the trick satan tries to play is to get those who know Jesus to reinforce that condemnation instead of stripping it of its power. if satan can get those in Christ to try to sweep sin under the rug (in their own lives and in the lives of others), then he knows there can be no true remission. that is why we see so many passive christians who live in silent self-condemnation, and who take it out condemning everyone around them.

but if we allow the Holy Spirit to come overpower us with the supernatural knowledge and authority of the sin-canceling power of Jesus’ blood, we will become experts at setting people free >>

This is good, it is easy for me most of the time to accept forgiveness, but the fact Jesus came to completely reverse the curse of Adam by giving us power over sin through him is a truth that I am just beginning to try and live in. Thanks
