David’s extremely practical advice after all this was to avoid needing God to be heavy-handed with you:
Psalm 32. 9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule, which have no understanding, which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, else they will not come near you.

God can and will forgive and restore anything, which is demonstrated amazingly when Jesus said the tax collectors and prostitutes were getting into the kingdom of God ahead of the religious! Jesus regularly cast demons out of prostitutes, and Jesus called their swindling friends to give away their wealth and come follow him. The question is not: “if I compromise, will God still forgive me?” The question is: “why let sin and its awful consequences lead us around by the nose humiliated anymore?” Arise, the Master is calling you. Why not go ahead and live as sons of God - being led directly by the Spirit of God >>

TimMex’s comment about “objects” is so true. Look closely at how godless culture is forced to accept this worthless exchange: trading the pure worship and experiential knowledge of God for perverted life-consuming lusts:
Romans 1.24-26 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions.

Look how Hosea describes it:
Hosea 7.4 They are all adulterers. Like an oven heated by a baker— he ceases stirring the fire after kneading the dough, until it is leavened.
Look how Job describes it:
Job 31.12 For that would be a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all my increase.

Now understand that every single thing that promotes or provokes or participates in any kind of sexual arousal or activity or intercourse outside of marriage falls under this description and this judgment. Understand that you want absolutely no part in anything that God says will burn forever because it defiles and makes a lie. This isn’t just about rape or adultery or homosexuality or XXX-movies, this would include watching people commit sexual sin on network TV, wouldn’t it? Here Jesus said to lust after a woman is the same as committing adultery with her, yet so many christians regularly file into mainstream movie theaters (or turn on HBO) expecting to see “casual” nudity? I would estimate that even though this site is totally dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ, between 30-60% of people now reading this regularly engage in activities that would fall under what God calls fornication, or sexual immorality. Simple easy rule here: if sexual temptation totally ambushes you, and you escape without any participation (i.e. a second look) - you didn’t sin. But willingly waltzing in where you know you’re going to be tempted?

We are at that same point now where the apostle Paul sounded the alarm some 1950 years ago. This life we live as God’s temples filled and inhabited by his Spirit is right now being mocked and blasphemed all over the world because of this specific compromise and misrepresentation. If God’s people go on sweeping their sexual sins under the rug in denial, tell me how can anyone expect the preaching of the gospel to have any power? There is a desperate cry of heartfelt repentance that God is longing to hear come up from those of his own who have fallen prey here. It doesn’t sound like “oh God you understand my flesh and my frailty…” - it sounds like “oh God what have I done?!”

Look how deep David goes in confessing sexual sin. Look how Paul literally begs the church to get right.

The Holy Ghost is really going for the root here. Pure sincere confession will see the salvation of God - not only in terms of ultimately going to heaven, but right now in terms of power over sexual sin. In the Name that is above every name, the proclamation of Jesus’s victory now takes dominion over everything unlike God in your life: SIN WILL NOT REIGN IN YOUR MORTAL BODY.

I think there is a website and program, like church of xxx or the like, that you install and when you happen to see questionable items, the stuff you see is forwarded to an accountability partner. I am humbled to say that it has worked on me from day 1.

When one gets unnaturally all riled up with nowhere to go, it is the weak who pay. Men should protect the weaker sex, but some see fit to victimize instead. In my meditations, constantly asking God what he sees, and failing myself sometimes along the way, He has given me the understanding I sought. All we gotta do is ask and listen.

…but as for me I am filled with power, and with the spirit of the Lord…

This very moment the blood of Jesus cleanses you from every single sin, every single time you compromised, every last bit of overwhelming condemnation and self-disgust. Never experience this crippling deception again. As you right now cry out desperately to Jesus for help, so receive his help once and for all. Be filled filled filled right now with the Holy Spirit, and never again thirst for the world.

There’s such an unprecedented urgency in this call. This is the hour where the process must be complete, and the line drawn for good. There are souls right now hanging in the balance over this. Draw near to God like your eternity depended on it, and he will draw near to you. Submit yourself totally to the Holy Spirit, and you will resist every treacherous lie the devil has to throw at you.
