4 soul-junk songs harmed making this cartoon
(ignore random non-SJ sounds)..
first person to name 3 of them gets any album they want, first one to name all 4 gets album + beautiful Tshirt.
Download MP3
wax presidential makes an appropriate theme song on so many levels, strengthen the faith represents many, many of us in our present stance, Mark 7;6-9 took us out from under the thumb of “religious authorities”, and atonal eternal! (?)
wow - allllmost! you got the first 3. wax presidential (1953), strengthen the faith (1952), Mark 7.6-9 (1950)…so pick your free album dustin >> everybody else seek on >> glen
3po soul (1956) wax presidential (1953), strengthen the faith (1952), Mark 7.6-9 (1950)
good guess but no 3PO…
No wonder I couldn’t get it, I don’t have any of those albums.
reese, man, you’re missing out! do yourself a favor buy at least one each. after 6 or 7 years of listening I’m reacquiring copies to replaced my scratched up stuff. prolly 2 of each vinyl (hafta ask?) try middle-1953 or 1955 then work your way both directions. nothing like getting an sj shaped package in the mail- like being 7years old at christmas.
the 4th song is still at large. CD Tshirt bounty on its head. hint: “atonal eternal” was a really really good guess.
Pass By Sonar (1954)
so it is matt* you am winner** actually “Bass By Sonar” - referring to Jon Galaxy, who played bass for soul-junk while having the dayjob of nuclear submariner. pick your CD & beautiful Tshirt size + email me address to send it to. (dustin won 1953 for guessing the first 3).
ahhhhh man i really need to get 50-53 54!!!
they will be on my birthday list! :j
Dustin, if only I were not a poor college student I would. But don’t get the impression that I have no Soul-Junk albums, I do have 1956, 1958, 1935, 1936, Scissors and Blue, and every song that has been posted on this site.
Yay! Bass By Sonar is a much, much cooler title and story (never trust wikipedia). Emailing details now.
actually I’m not sure I’m familiar w/ scissors and blue. but I do know that siam cats goes THUD THUD THUDTHUDTHUD THUDTHUD all tha way down 27th but that hasn’t been updated in a while. ah thx for calling attention to the 35-36 tho. Also, was Jon really on the price is right? That was a zillion dollar picture either way.
p.s. all of 1950 thru 1955 especially, these albums all open up new realms of worship, and teach you the kind of hymns that soothe you for years to come. Highly recommended, make em priority. Graveyard style has kept me preserved, just barely a time or two, since first heard in 2003. Gonna make me happy to hear it again as my copy went to Mexico.
