(student guitar). lately i've been playing a late '60s tysco. the guitar i used on 1950 & 1951 was a $10 no-name guitar (might have been a tysco) a friend left at my house - i love the contrast of all the octaves and fifths with no real guts to it. i play a les paul too when i need a more fullbodied sound. the 1952 & 1953 records i did with a les paul copy - after that i wanted to open the mix a bit, & that's when i started playing the old student gibson & the danelectro. the danelectro has a nice thin punch. before that my main guitar was a ‘62 gibson les paul jr.
