>> The true Light which gives light to every man, which comes into the world. He was in the world and through him the world came into being, yet the world failed to recognize Him. He came unto His own and His own did not receive Him. But as many as would receive Him, who would believe in His name, to them He gave authority to be children of God - who were begotten not of a bloodline, neither of a fleshly will, nor of man’s will, but of God. And the Word became flesh, and came and lived with us and we saw his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1.9-14)

>> Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—
In the volume of the book it is written of Me—
To do Your will, O God’”…“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.” (Hebrews 10.7,16)

>> And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
“ The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.”
Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” (Luke 4.17-21)

    It means that Jesus Himself is the Word, and that He manifested Himself in the flesh to reveal Himself to us.

    I LOVE that Luke passage so much and where Jesus chose to end His quotation of Isaiah, “to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor…” (Jesus stops) “and the day of vengeance of our God”. He is not out to get vengeance, He came to show His favor.

    That’s it. He didn’t come to condemn the world but that it could have life through him. So..what about the life of Jesus - can we live it?
