..that He was very passionate about the purpose of Father’s house. it was very important to Him that folks realize what & who it was – and frustarting to Him that they did not… what am i leaving out? i know that i don’t know.
that’s the spot to start from for sure. the temple in jerusalem was the meeting place – it was where God met with man. so Jesus got radical about it being turned into a big market. it had become a mockery of what Father intended, so Jesus put his life on the line and cleared it out repeatedly.
what’s even more amazing is what he said when he was was questioned about his authority to purge the temple.. here he risks his life to stand up for the temple, then he says to destroy it. what was that about?
Oh man… You ask much. The Zeal for his Father’s House was the hope of His Calling – Ephesians.
He said his father’s house will be a house of prayer. Just last night, the preacher defined the Father’s house when Jesus said I am in the Father, The Father is in me I am in you and therefore you are in the Father. Prayer is that open communication with God. It is by faith the conversation even gets started. If we truly believe we have Christ in us, the hope of Glory then we are the temples of his Presence. His zeal is for that HOUSE!
He flipped it all because the religious did not meet God in the temple. They only did rogue rituals and paid for indulgences of pardon. They had perversed the meaning of the scriptures and turn them into societal regulations and veiled those who wanted to earnestly seek God in truth and spirit. It was a con game in the name of Jesus. It was a blasphemy of Holy Spirit!. He destoryed the order of that thinking and being raised from the dead, fullfilled all the requirements of the law that God the Father justly administers even today and forgives us of when we accept his Son as His Savior risen from the dead!
I could write forever on the hope of of His calling…. He is still speaking it plainly and I am excited to see us built up in the fullness of him who is all in all.
