Before Jesus rode into Jerusalem for the last week of his life, he told his disciples to go get him a donkey. He told them where to find the donkey, and he told them what to say if the owner had any questions. Sure enough, they found the donkey; and as they were untying it, the owner asked them what they were doing. The disciples answered simply that the Lord had need of it.

And so the Son of David rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, meek and lowly, fully ready to lay his life down in exchange for the lives of all men. Because he sowed his life into the earth, Father raised him up and gave him all power, all authority, and all honor. The claim of his blood is more than enough to ransom anyone in any situation if they sincerely turn to him and believe with all their heart in who he is and what he’s done personally for them.

Today the call goes out tugging on your life - the Lord has need of it. Tugging on your emotions, your deepest desires, your heart - the Lord has need of it. Not in part but in full. Your time - the Lord has need of it. Your possessions, your plans, your money - the Lord has need of it. Your relationships. Your focus, your trust, your hope. Why? Because as he demonstrated beautifully on a bloody cross, this is the only way the kingdom of heaven functions.

Now see more clearly than ever before your elusive opportunity to trade what cannot last for what cannot pass away. This is your hour to irrevocably paint BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD all over your life.

That’s the scripture I was reading yesterday. How great a reminder!

It is why you are a temple of the Holy Spirit. Designed for glory. Built to tarry “with the quickness.” God would much rather have your countenance then your works. A countenance he can shape into a reflection of Himself. Bold, glowing, caring, long-suffering, joyous and splendid. So much more I could say, but time does not permit. I love this writing.
