check this out: a christmas album

(Anita Santiago’s design) Daniel Smith & Joshua Stamper pulled this record together. We’ve got “Dayspring From On High” on it…and shiny ornaments are added daily >>
How neat. It’s like an advent calender. I love all the songs so far.
Somebody posted a comment & i accidentally deleted thinking i was deleting another robot pill post… Comment again if you can remember it*
I think the question was whether “Dayspring From On High” was one of the songs recorded in NJ with Daniel Smith a couple months back. Actually i recorded this song in San Diego ‘06. Daniel did the final mix/master. Jesus did the arising with healing in his wings.
hey glen,
it was me… Yeah i was just askin if the “Dayspring” track was from the recent session in NJ… but you answered that. I’m very excited to hear what comes from that, i’ve been really into your YouTube demos… just you and guitar. I love to hear bare bones songwriting and one of my fav S-J albums has to be 1942. It’s only flaw is how short it is. But the Dayspring track is fantastic.
In my first post I also was saying how much of a blessing this site is. Your words, thoughts, work, encouragement is all so necessary to my soul, and the Lord certainly knew it would be.
I just ordered 1959… looking forward to it very much. I pray that your inspiration continues to overflow and splash down on the dry ground, and bring forth life.
Best to you and yours in ‘08.

PS-
If you get a chance - check out my project The Whistlestop. We were going to record w/ Dan in NJ back in Sept. But as we’re based in Raleigh NC, and in all we have 4 wives and 9 children to think about, it became clear that a trip to NJ was not in the cards. A hard blow for me, as i’ve been looking forward to working w/ Dan for years! But the recording is back up on the calendar, for Feb 1st - down here this time. We’re looking forward to it. The two songwriters in the project are myself and Rob Watson, as I was just getting to know Rob I introduced him to your stuff. It blew his mind. He wrote the first Whistlestop song who’s chorus is: “Originator, we’re praying for originality” which was totally inspired by your work on 1957.
Sorry for the long-winded post. If you wanna correspond, maybe myspace would be better? Cheers.
