This is good - that's really where I was hoping to go - rubber-meets-road! Because it is incredibly important that God's people become more in tune with what's going on in heaven. Jesus spelled it out: "You know where I am going, and you know the way." We need to give ourselves completely to this pursuit of knowing how to touch heaven and allow heaven to touch us.

Otherwise, where there is a lack of vision - people perish. They go with what they know, which is always what earth can tangibly offer. And what earth can tangibly offer is seasonal pleasure that ends in corruption and decay. That applies as much to sin as it does finding earthly solutions for heavenly callings.

So...give yourself to touching heaven. Here's what we've got so far:
Knowing that God's reality is more tangible and than what we now see.
Relying on the Spirit for sight, not human ability (flesh).
Valuing God's eternal reward over the praise of man.
Worshiping with honesty and total abandon.
Experiencing God on an ever-increasing basis.
Walking with God (real relationship, not ritual).

What else?

"Can heaven be more tangible than earth?"

Yes, if you're walking in the Lord instead of just praying to him.

It is through my flesh that I see earthly things. It is through my spirit that I see heavenly things. I should pay more attention to my spirit than I do my flesh - when I do that heaven becomes more and more real. When I serve God with the promise of eternal reward rather than the tickle of mans praise then heaven is tangible. When I worship with abandon and am honest with God then heaven is tangible.

I suppose the more I experience God the more heaven becomes tangible - Job 42: 5

yeah, there's no question that the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=hebrews 12.22-28;&version=50;"target="_blank" rel="nofollow" rel="nofollow">eternal realm</a> is more real than the <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1john 2.15-17;&version=50;"target="_blank" rel="nofollow" rel="nofollow">temporal</a>.

it's a matter of having your senses exercised yes? how is it that someone gets to start feeling heaven more than they feel earth?

my friend aaron introduced me to the idea that the invisible is more real than the visible. that from the invisible God came our entire visible reality. something real like this world cannot come from something or somewhere less real than itself.
