Stayed up all night fiddling w/broken drum machine, and read this ‘And this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to be raised from sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far advanced’ oh boy ‘and the day has drawn near. Let us therefore cast off works of darkness, and let us put on the weapons of light’ and then ‘ but put on the Lord Jesus Christ’ yes.can this be as easy as calling His name? ‘and make no provision for the flesh to fullfill its lusts’. I needed to be yanked free of some religiosity, thanx for the fellowship (re:trial=fire).
oh yeah – no problem, that’s where God commands the blessing.
& those verses are so on the money..
“put on” the Lord Jesus Christ is “enduo” – the same greek word as in you find in Luke 24.49. we’re endued or clothed upon with Christ just like we’re endued with the Holy Ghost. it’s all about being overshadowed!
