It keeps getting better. Here’s a sample of something added in the last couple hours:

FORGIVE US AS WE FORGIVE

Matthew 6.12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

1 John 2.1-2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that you do not sin. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 1.9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

John 20.21-23 Then Jesus said to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father has sent me, even so I send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said unto them, Receive the Holy Ghost: Whoever’s sins you forgive, they are forgiven unto them; and whoever’s sins you retain, they are retained.

Matthew 18.32-35 Then his master, after that he had called him, said unto him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you desired me to: Should not you also have had compassion on your fellowservant, even as I had pity on you? And his master was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if you do not from your hearts forgive every one his brother their trespasses.

Ephesians 4.32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you.

Romans 5.7-10 For rarely for a righteous man will one die: yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, now being justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Luke 23.33-34 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.

>)>)>)>)>)>)>)>)>)>)>

The depths of the power of Christ’s forgiveness are truly unfathomable; yet this is the miracle realm we are called to walk in with him. The sound of the kingdom of God in the earth today is the sound of the year of jubilee – all debts are cancelled, all go free in the name of Jesus Christ. As Christ held nothing against even his most vicious enemies, so we are to hold absolutely nothing unforgiven. The messengers and poster-children of Jesus’ universal forgiveness are constrained by love to live completely forgiven and unconditionally forgiving.

This is a great idea, it’s been good to read and get these verses going through my heart. It’s got me doing the same type of thing with other verses, thanks! I hope to give some more specific feedback later.

it’s very transparent, & that’s what i like the most about it. if i try to impose anything on the text - it tells on me*

i’d gotten so used to my own philosophies/ideas/opinions with token prooftexts; then God got a hold of me and challenged me not to claim i know more than he knows >>

i love the idea of a theology that is all Scripture and no human philosophy. i’m absolutely sure God’s ideas all work perfectly together; i’m not so sure at all about my ideas.
