it’s funny how it intimidates the brain. human thinkers like subjects they can master, whereas God makes it completely clear here we’re never going to master him as a subject.
it just shows you how badly God wants to engage us on a level of intimacy, adventure, desperation, appetite, passion… it’s like that feeling when you’re really thirsty past the point where you should be & you feel like no amount of water will be enough.
