this gospel of the kingdom
There are few chapters in the entire Bible which are so clear on how the gospel is to be preached and believed on as Romans 10. Simply put, preachers must be sent out of the presence of Almighty God, and anyone who believes must believe from the heart. All boundaries that would limit or restrain the scope of this gospel are cancelled and annulled, and we are charged with all the urgency of the impending judgment that every creature under heaven must hear it clearly and speedily.
The fields are white to harvest, ready to be reaped at this very moment. Meanwhile the religious masses of Christianity live in long periods of relative inactivity interspersed with spasms of human programs designed to push into the harvest. It is clear that the majority of these efforts are purely human; both because they look nothing like the ministry of Jesus, and because their results are nothing like the results of the ministry of Jesus.
Jesus’ answer to fields of souls waiting to be harvested for the kingdom of God was and remains this: prayer to the Father that real laborers be raised up. These laborers are to be sent out of God’s presence, supernaturally anointed and empowered to preach a gospel that powerfully outshines any other religion or philosophy or so-called path to God. Jesus’ prayer for laborers was sandwiched between the description of his supernatural ministry of teaching, preaching, healing all sickness and disease, and his giving his disciples power over every unclean spirit and sickness and disease so he could send them out.
The gospel of peace must be the gospel of the kingdom. This is the peace the world has no power to give. This is the gospel which demonstrates the strongman is no longer fully armed and in control of his palace; instead one stronger has come and overcome him and is dividing his spoils. The proclamation of peace to those far and near goes hand in hand with the promise of and demonstration of healing.
For Jesus to say that the time is coming and now is when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live, requires that his voice be heard today loud and clear in the earth. There are so many who would receive the life of God if only they could hear the voice of God rather than the voice of man, if only they could see the kingdom of God rather than the programs and agendas of man.
This is the kingdom and the righteousness that we are to seek first – it belongs to God, looks like God, and acts like God – and can only be produced by God. << Avoid cheap imitations >>
amen homes. this is all true and should be read carefully asking Jesus to open our eyes. much love!
