I, as a kid thought that that pain that existed was not a good thing and subscribed to the saying that said pain was just weakness leaving the body. In so doing I seared my conscience. It took me talking to a pastor at about the age of 16 for someone to tell me exactly what I was doing. I'm now 30 and my conscience is still regaining sensitivity.
